No matter how old they get, they’ll always be your baby. 🙂 Isn’t that how they saying goes?
I know its tough, especially during these times, but try to give your children undivided attention … not with one eye on the TV and the other eye on them. Being in the room with them while you are on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter does not count. Be mindful when they have a problem … when they are worried … when they are sad … when they are lonely … they don’t need cartoons, or a video game, money for the mall or their best friends mom or Dad … they need YOU!
Remember how you needed mom & dad…they do too….
Hug them today with a smile or call them with a “luv ya”
Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it
love them stronger than iron and softer than feathers. Let them know tour love is like an invisible elastic band, no matter how far they go, you are still connected. No smothering, just being present.
Being involved with our children, and knowing what’s going on in their everyday lives is essential. Listen to them … even when they‘re not saying anything, they are speaking volumes.
Have a wonderful Sunday and a powerful next week.
Let us pray…
Father in heaven, Be ever close to each of our children, Lord, surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:11-12). We pray You would protect them in all the ways they walk; in their coming out and their going in. Guard them against diseases of the mind and body, accidents, predators and all kinds of evil and evil-doers. Thank you Father, Amen.
