Reprogramming the negative mind to be fearless and confident!!

Good things are coming down the road! You have to be confident enough to live and fearless enough to JUST KEEP WALKING! You will get there!
Good day all, this sermon is about how to reprogram negative thoughts and turn them into inspiration! Most are not aware of their subconscious thoughts throughout the day. The fact is that your subconscious mind actually runs the whole show behind the scenes. It’s this subconscious mind we need to reprogram to work for you, both while you rest and recover, sleep and most importantly, while you’re awake and in active living.

Stay with me here 😉 we will get there….

Understanding that most negative thinking is manifested by memories of the burnt ashes from yesterday, bad personal relationships, unforgiving reminders, disappointment and heartbreak. Most are simply a part of life; however, you don’t have to yield to that spirit of lies which tells you to die before your time, to quit before you start, to yield when you should run and cry when you should smile! Listen, it’s not what you go through, it’s how YOU handle it! You have to reprogram your thoughts to understand you can only change what you can change and that your conscious thoughts are something you CAN CHANGE!! There are 4 major ways to reprogram your consciousness/thought. 1st, The Bible tells us in:

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Romans 12:12 – Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Ephesians 4:31-32 – Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Hebrews 13:6 – So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5 – Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

The Bible is clear, to trust in God and lean on Him for your worries and Troubles, to seek His face and guidance in all things and to forgive, live and love one another.

With this understanding, we can let the negative worldliness of our lives dictate how we feel, love, forgive, act and stand! We must stand in God’s grace, seeking his presence and shake the negativity off from all things that attempt to see us fall…. it’s that time, to decompress, reprogram and stand tall!

Being aware of those negative thoughts that are in your conscious mind will help you control your actions and behavior so that it will NOT negatively impact your life, spiritual wealth and health!

Ok…this may get a bit scientific, but I know you can handle it! 😉

Here is the scientific approach:

When something stressful occurs, like a traffic jam, our reaction to the stressful event is often the cause of the problem. For example, we can say ‘This is going to make me late for work,’ but the traffic jam is still something that is out of our control and all we have done is to feel bad about it by focusing on the negative. Instead, we could say ‘At least I have a little time to myself before work.’

By changing our response we are able to change how “the interactive influence of environmental demands and personal characteristics on the initial reaction to stressors and how this reaction affects thoughts, feelings, and action.” This finding comes from a research study by the Department of Psychology at Saint Louis University where self-management training was used as a technique for people in the workplace to manage stress.

NLP uses the power of the language that we use with ourselves to reprogram subconscious thoughts. For example, if you ask yourself ‘Why do I feel so angry?’ your thoughts are focused on the anger or the negative emotion, rather than what you do want, which is the opposite.

NLP also helps people to set positive goals that are focused on what they do want, not what they don’t want. Other techniques from NLP include imagining someone that is bothering you as a photograph in black and white and picturing the photo moving away from you and appearing smaller. Other NLP techniques include hearing your critical inner voice in a humorous cartoon voice instead. For example, if you tell yourself ‘That was stupid,’ imagine Shaggy from the TV cartoon Scooby Doo saying it next time instead.

NLP may help reduce symptoms of clinical anxiety, depression, phobias, and other troubling psychological problems. A joint Croatian and Austrian study on patients coming to therapy for various psychological problems found that neuro-linguistic programming therapy was able to significantly help reduce clinical symptoms and increase quality of life.

Traumatic events can leave people with post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. Even small traumas like seeing a car accident happen near you, but not being involved in it can affect your mind in negative ways. You may notice more irrational fears than usual, for example, being afraid of driving when you have no reason to be concerned. Depression, phobias, obsessive-compulsive behavior, anxiety, and trauma are all psychological problems that can be helped by EMDR. You can find a trained EMDR clinician through this link.

In EMDR therapy, patients watch a screen where lights move around and they track the lights with their eyes while trying to remember the past events that bothered them. The treatment is a way for patients to bring up their negative emotions about the past, while distracting them with something that makes it difficult to focus on the negative thoughts. The combination of these things, trying to remember and trying to pay attention to what is on the screen are hard for the brain to reconcile. What happens is that the negative thoughts lose to the pattern of eye movement.

You can try this therapy at home by looking up links for EMDR on YouTube. This self-therapy to reprogram your subconscious thoughts is not recommended for those who have undergone intense trauma because the memories could be disturbing. Instead, find a therapist who works in EMDR who can teach you how to manage negative memories.

4. COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT) says ‘CBT works by changing people’s attitudes and their behavior by focusing on the thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes that are held (a person’s cognitive processes) and how these processes relate to the way a person behaves, as a way of dealing with emotional problems.’

To use the technique of CBT to reprogram your subconscious thoughts, first, we have to identify negative thoughts, like ‘I am worthless.’ Second, you question the thought by saying ‘Why would I think that about myself?’ ‘Who told me to think that way?’ Third, we replace the negative pattern of thoughts with positive ones like ‘I am very capable. Everyone makes mistakes, but I have learned from mine and I know that I can do this.’

All, there is power in positive thinking and letting stinkin’ thinking go! Beware of stress sickening! Forgive often, smile often and just let go! It’s just easier and healthier to smile, even when you have to say NO!

Here is God’s approach to being fearless and confident!!!!!

– Philippians 3:13-14 – Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

– Matthew 12:33-37 – “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

– 1 Corinthians 16:13 – Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

– 2 Timothy 1:7 – For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

– Psalm 27:3 – Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

– Ephesians 6:19 – And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,

– John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

– Proverbs 3:26 – For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.

– Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

– 2 Corinthians 3:5 – Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God,

– 1 John 3:20-21 – For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

You are worthy, You can make it, you WILL make it, you will stand tall! You will bound obstacles! You are protected, covered and loved! Be fearless!!!! WE DON’T DO FEAR! Look at fear as a goldmine for growth! Yes, this is the place to start digging for the gemstones that will buy your freedom from fear, and send you soaring to the next level. Be confident!!! Shifting your mind shifts your world!! POWER POWER POWER! Read, re-read as nessesary to know that NO weapon formed against you shall prosper, and in all things God has your back!!!

The summation from above says this!!!!

– DON’T CARE..what other people think!!!

– Have No Fear of failure!!! HEAR ME HERE!!! It’s a part of SUCCESS!!!!! Now Go Get it!!!!

– “YOU” STATUS, is pure ego; let it go and live free to be who you are! Your status isn’t based on anything real…just perception.

– Fear itself won’t truly stop you or kill you…it is an illusion that you can either be controlled by…or control! So press on!!

– Embarrassment….SO WHAT!!!!!!!! We all look stupid, silly or out of touch at times…! However, people forget your foolishness long before you do. They are far more interested in themselves!!! Trust!

We Love because….He first Loved us!

Heavenly Father….thank you Lord for your inspiration, and for this powerful message today! May it be discerned correctly and it’s definitions be remembered and practiced! Allow us to stay open to possibilities, embrace change, make plans. It let’s us make them loosely, define our own mission statements, find positive mentors, and challenge ourselves towards greatness! Create partnerships, and seek support where needed! Allow action, action, action, and in all things THINK BIG!!! Go hard or go home…but now we know how to do something better, which is to look fear in the face with confidence, put our feet on its neck, scream JESUS and stand UP!!!! Amen, Amen and all God’s people say….Amen…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏻👏🏻👏🏾👏🏾👏👏

Thank you all for your patience as I truly hope this helps someone stand just a little taller and stronger being fearless in their walk and confident in their talk 🙂

All, have an outstanding Sunday! Powerful you are remembering…There is NO Fear in Fear itself…be confident and press on.
