Helping – simplified

Reconcile – “to make right relationships”… literally, “to change to the same position…  restoration to favor.” to Help

To all of the helpers (Those who have helped so many change thier lives, clear stripes and remove strikes) be mindful of the stains you clean, as they can stain you in the cleaning process. Remember perfection of character is not of this world and you as a helper will be judged far worse than any other, often and most sadly, by those you’ve helped. Because you at least strive for perfection, yuu will often giveaway more than you will receive. Remember this wise and old counsel: You can lead a horse to water, and that’s great…but sometimes it will drink plentifully, only to leave you in the desert…so plan redundancy, purposely and stay the course that God has you on, for it was Him who inspired and guided you to greatness and shared his Son with you in love. Don’t be discouraged! Remember all of the blessings in your life, especially knowing you are highly favored and have given much to help. Keep helping. Help from the heart and know when helping hurts. Pray it and pay it forward.

When Helping hurts:

When we try to help and we don’t embrace our own mutual brokenness, we have to remember it is a two-way street (embracing brokenness)… “The Have-nots” poverty of being = see themselves as inferior to others, cannot help themselves…
“The Haves” poverty of bei ng = god complexes in which we self-anoint ourselves to decide what is best for others…

To Help:  is a transformational process in which someone you are helping is enabled to meet thier own needs: physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological, social, economic and political.
The big fish has landed. Enjoy it.

Continue to helps knowing you may not receive a worldly return but that the return is of the Lord. His Blessings in your life will far exceed and return from a worldly vessel.

The Bible tells us:

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

John 15:12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you…”

James 2:14-17 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

I stand encouraged for all helpers today! Just know that it is God’s will as he has provided you with tools he has not provided to others. Time, resources, finances, information and dedication. You were once lost as well, but now found in his love, strength and grace. Continue to follow the path of love, forgiveness and understanding. Most unclean things don’t know they are dirty until they see a clean thing.

Powerful you are, remember God’s words, continue to be a blessing, know when to stop, know when helping hurts and stay empowered in Christ! We all need a helping hand from time to time. Pray and pay it forward!

LORD, We thank you for this word today and allowing us to understand helping others. We know many of those we help will not reciprocate but know the reciprocation is in and through your love and how you helped all through all. Forgive us of our Sins and trespasses and allow us to be good stewards of your Grace. Amen.
