Support Gun Control? – I Will control Mine, I suggest you control yours.

Ok…here it is.. Very simply..I AM FOR GUN CONTROL…I will control My Gun! I suggest you do the same…
Place guards at your gates! Most of the politicians who are against you carrying a gun, carry a gun themselves or are surrounded by security that is carrying a gun…Is their life more important than yours or do they simply believe you are not morally grounded enough or smart enough to protect yourself….

I have seen these streets and the things that go on, firsthand…I have seen the effects of evil against unpreparedness! Although family defense for others may not be the same method or manner, I do truly love and care for friends, family, my brothers, community and I am a serious when it comes to protecting such… Now please stay with me… 🙂

Until we fix this nation’s social ills, define better mental illness awareness/healing, and take off-line “criminal encouragement” outlets(world-star etc), …What we truly need is for people to STOP leveraging the actions of sick, desperate and criminally minded individuals who BREAK THE LAW and WON’T FOLLOW ANY GUN CONTROL LAW (They’re criminals), to keep law abiding citizens defenseless!!! 

I have always asserted that an armed American is an aware and ready citizen… I will gladly put my weapons away when the civil authorities can ensure me and PROVE NO criminals have guns and the police themselves feel safe enough to put their guns away! I will NOT be the only one without one…bringing my my fists to a gunfight! 

I study and carry my Holy Writ daily and through it, my ethics, morals and common sense are reminded…God gave us the sense to use specific tools for specific reasons…gardening: garden hoe/shovel, Chopping down a tree: an Ax/saw, traveling: car, bus and plane….protection: there are many available like the aforementioned…I choose a few…Hands, Guns and God!

One tool may simply not do…

I choose to protect myself, family and friends as I choose! You do the same, just don’t keep trying to disarm me and force me to wait 5-10-20 minutes until the police get here when SECONDS COUNT!! When trouble comes…IT COMES FAST! We must allow Americans to protect themselves whenever, wherever! When it comes, it comes fast! It comes at anytime, anywhere and sometimes at any cost!! You do what you feel! I believe in this world….some gun is better than no gun for self defense any day! 

There is NO self defense class you can take that evens the odds in your favor better than a handgun defense class and continued TRAINING, TRAINING TRAINING ….it teaches you how to STOP THE THREAT WHEN AND WHERE IT ARRIVES!! Have fun and get to the range! 🙂 

Now…I fought for this country in two different branches of the military and have supported civil correctness all over the world! I grew up around respecting and using guns. I am well trained. You don’t have to have military training to be proficient! There are classes all over! Do some research. 

Here, at home in America, We MUST get the full picture before we claim to know the history of the painting! Social media and several news outlets I believe, have done a terrible job in painting accurate pictures of civil incidents at times…I absolutely support our good officers and stand by them! We must work to shift the paradigm of martyring the criminally minded. I certainly have been no saint, however, growing up, being responsible and accountable should be a goal..There is something to be said for compliance as well! Now…I am absolutely against cronies, political bullying, corruption and tyranny! Let’s remember… The last time A tyrant wanted gun control – the answer was the “shot heard ‘round the world.”! 

I am in support of justified (Self Defense) CCW! Anytime, anywhere! Is there any place these days safer than another…restaurants, home, movies, church, school, recruiting office!!! Again….Anytime…anywhere! I will protect!

Now…Self-defense here is defined as “protecting oneself from injury at the hand of others.” Self-defense is not about taking vengeance. Self-defense is not about punishing criminals. Self-defense involves preserving one’s own health and life when it is threatened by the actions of others. When we speak about using potentially lethal force in self-defense, we’re talking about using weapons to protect ourselves and others, even if the weapons used could kill the attacker.

The Biblical Obligation to Preserve Life

Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own; 20 for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body. (1Co 6:19-20 ASV)

Not only are we to take care of our bodies and the life contained. We have an obligation to preserve the body and life of other people. Psalm 82:4 even cites an obligation to protect those who are in danger:

Psalm 82:4 Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. 

Consider also Proverbs 24:11, which indicates we have a duty to preserve the lives of those who are harming themselves:

Proverbs 24:11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

Ezekiel 33 is a well-known passage:

Ezekiel 33 “… 6 ‘But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.’

If you know danger is coming to others, and you deliberately fail to warn the others of the danger, you are guilty of harming the victims. This is not to say that you can make people heed your warning. The surrounding verses also say that if the people refuse to heed the warning of the watchmen, the watchman is not guilty if they are harmed.

Thanks for the many messages, this is just my humble 2 cents. I have plenty of friends and family who agree and some who don’t…I will leave you with this…

Although we always pray it won’t happen to us…if it does…wouldn’t you want to protect yourself and family…wouldn’t you want to STOP THE THREAT…or just ask the threat to standby while you call 911…I suggest Both in this order…

1. Stop the threat 

2. Call 911
