Better Husbands & Fathers

Good morning Family, It’s been some time I know, but this has been on my heart and now I share this with you….Let’s get into it….you ready……



STOP HIDING!!!!!!

Ok, listen….Remember the conversation after Adam and Eve ate the apple? Do you remember God saying, “Adam where are you?” Adam replied, “I heard you, so I hid.”

WHAT!!! That’s right…We still have a tendency to hide because it’s a safe place to be. (WE THINK!!!) Because what God or my spouse cannot see in me….HELLO!!!, they will not know about me….(WE THINK!!!) — and that’s a problem!

Stay up and Pray UP!!!!! Let’s get into it….How to pray for the Man in your life!!!!!

The following is a suggested prayer to guide you in praying for your husband’s/Significant other’s role as a husband, friend and father.

– Dear Father, I pray for my husband today, that You may surround him with favor as a shield. (Ps. 5:12)


– May You open my husband’s ears to hear Your voice; may You open his eyes to see Your guidance: and may You open his heart to receive Your wisdom. May You Give him a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You, and may the eyes of his heart be enlightened so that he may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. (Eph. 1:17-19)


– I bind the spirits of rebellion, stubbornness and doublemindedness far from my husband in the name of Jesus, that he may be free to walk in Your way, and that he may be stable in his ways. (James. 1:8)


– I pray that You will give my husband fresh insight and inspiration to do his work and that You will renew his strength as the eagle’s. (Isa. 40:31)


May you surround my husband with angelic protection in every place he is. (Ps. 91:11) And may You bring victory to him in every place the sole of his foot treads. (Josh. 1:3)

“I believe it’s something men in general tend to fear,” he said. “We get so caught up in doing what we do in our work that we’re afraid we haven’t done enough with our Families. Or we’re afraid we haven’t done it well enough, or we’re missing something.”

Family, Have you ever had someone pray for you, especially when you couldn’t think straight, and after they prayed you had complete clarity, composure and vision? I’ve experienced way to many times to remember, thats why i know it WORKS!! Praise God!. I believe this is what can happen for your husbands and SO – (Significant Others) when we pray about their life, parenting and strengths as partners. If they are tortured with doubt and burdened by a sense of responsibility, we can minimize these feelings with our prayers. Prayer can help them gain a clear perspective of what it means to be a good father, and open the door for the Holy Spirit’s guidance on how to handle the partnering, parenting, pressures and challenges that arise.

The secret to healing and strength is to pray together! HELLOO!! Come on now, here we go….TOGETHER!!! and to seek professional counseling as needed until the reasons behind the behavior is discovered! I personally wish I had gone through counseling very early in my marriage. I believe it would have assisted me along with prayer in discovering the areas in my life I had to change. Through Prayer, God has freed me in ways I thought I would never imagine. It is critical that prayer becomes your cornerstone in your marriage, the rock upon which you lean! Come on! Help me a little here….Are you hearing me! Make Prayer your foundation in a crises! Because I know that I know, That when you look to Christ, my God, My GOD! then each other’s faults DO NOT SEEM SOOOO BIG! Can somebody help me a little here…. In John 8:32 “…And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. Ask Christ to give you wisdom and to show you the truth and he will open your mind to his wisdom through the Holy Spirit in such a manner that your husband/SO will want to be healed, as the reason for his behavior is much deeper than just frivolous actions, infidelity; as that is the cure that he mistakenly believes is helping him, when it is KILLING his SOUL!!!! HELLO!!! How can something that is gathered so quickly and released so suddenly, be the corrective force to correct ills which he was probably raised with, grown with, experienced and seen…IT CAN’T!!!! It’s a quick fix! Stop this! FIX IT FOR GOOOOOD! Praise GOD! ON BOTH KNEES pray together!!!! to STAY TOGETHER!!!!! my God, my God, My God….Praise Jesus….God Bless and trust Christ, he will show you …A Prayer for you …

Lord, teach (husband’s/SO’s name) to be a good father, husband and provider. Where it was not modeled to him according to Your ways, heal those areas and help him to forgive his dad. Give him revelation of You and a hunger in his heart to know You as his heavenly Father. Draw him close to spend time in your presence so he can become more like You, and fully understand Your Father’s heart of compassion and love toward him. Grow that same heart for his children, me and our family!.

*** May he never provoke his “children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord,” (Ephesians 6:4).

I pray that you all will be united in the rules we set for our children and be in full agreement as to how they are raised. I pray that there will be no strife or argument over how to handle them and the issues that surround their lives you pray together for resolutions….

A prayer from Rev. Poe to you all….Lord, I know that we pass a spiritual inheritance to our children. Let the heritage we pass now and forever more be rich in the fullness of Your Holy Spirit. Enable us to model clearly a walk of submission to Your laws. May we delight in our families and long to nurture them up Your way. Being good to and for each other is what we truly want, I pray that you will give them all the desire of your heart. Amen…

Now, be Blessed this Day! Stand Tall! Do it Big!!! Keep God as your compass and Guide and KNOW that No weapon formed against you shall prosper!!! Stand Strong in it and play all of your cards! Live life and forgive through love, and Hit It and Hit It Hard!!!!!
