Let your EGO LEAK!!!

A few weeks ago, I read an article that really hit me in the ego area, so I started doing a little study in Philippians and once again I was amazed by these six verses. The application of these verses can alter the way we lead and live, especially in today’s environment and in this world.

Philippians 2:3-7

3. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

5. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6. Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7. rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

As I was reading over the passage I thought about a blog post I read the other day, I thought “Do You Have an Ego Leak?”

Hhhmmmmm…

Here is a simple solution: LET YOUR EGO LEAK!!!

EGO LEAK is a GOOD THING, when it’s focused in the right direction Gods People!

Squelch, knock down and re-treat your own ego by focusing ALL of your bragging, arrogance, pride and boasting on and around OTHERS. Talk constantly about your team, about your children, about your spouse, about your family, about your friends, and about your staff, about our God!

Again, Brag on God, on Jesus, on the Church. On His goodness and grace!

Let your Ego leak freely on behalf of building others up! Here we Go! Stay with me…..

If you are like most of us who consider ourselves to be leaders, your ego will leak out regardless, so you might as well put it to good use my friends, bragging on those around you.

As God continues to expand your influence as a leader, selfish ambition and vain conceit can be two ugly diabolical monsters that will attempt to railroad your mission to serve others. You’ll be tempted to make it all about your ego-driven, self-centered needs and wants. I can’t think of a better way to shed the selfish ambition and vain conceit than practicing ego leak. That’s right brothers and sisters EGO LEAK!!!

I’m so thankful that we have such an amazing example in the foot washing, cross bearing, life giving Jesus.
